Maciek Czerkawski

I am a philosopher working in Classical Phenomenology (especially Heidegger), Ancient Philosophy (especially Aristotle), and analytic-style Metaphysics. Projects I enjoy the most straddle these areas. I am employed as an Assistant Professor (Teaching) of Philosophy  by the CUHK-Shenzhen in China. Before that, I was an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin, Poland. I completed my graduate work at the University of Warwick (MA) and the University of Oxford (DPhil) in the UK.  I sign my papers as ‘Maciej’ (pronounced ma.t͡ɕɛj), which is my given name. I am not sure why, though, as I am fonder of its diminutive form:  ‘Maciek’ (pronounced ma.t͡ɕɛk).
