Maciek Czerkawski
I am a philosopher working in Post-Kantian Philosophy (especially Heidegger), Ancient Philosophy (especially Aristotle), and analytic-style Metaphysics. Projects I enjoy the most straddle these areas. I am employed as a Lecturer in Philosophy and General Education by CUHK-Shenzhen in China. Before that, I was an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin, Poland. I completed my graduate work at the University of Warwick (MA) and the University of Oxford (DPhil) in the UK. I am a fairly dedicated but non-competitive runner. I sign my papers as ‘Maciej’ (pronounced ma.t͡ɕɛj), as that, indeed, is my given name. But Polish people are generally fond of diminutive forms of their names – in this case, ‘Maciek’ (pronounced ˈma.t͡ɕɛk) – and I am no exception.
